Make your own tripod plate with Arca connection through which you can run a cable, such as a USB or HDMI cable. By using this plate you can prevent the HDMI or USB port of your camera from becoming defective because you get stuck on the cable and therefore overload the camera connection. The cable now goes directly from the camera into the tripod plate and comes out again after making a bend. This way the strain relief is in the tripod plate and not on the plug of the camera.
With this plate, for which you only need a 1/4-20 screw, you can also place your camera on an Arca mount compatible tripod.
The plates are available as an STL file in sizes 60, 70, 80 and 90mm. The photo’s show the first batch, the new plates are Arca compatible.
